Abstract: The article is concerned with the problem of interrelation between mental dynamics of mass subject and functions of cultural code in the context of modern media environment. The urgency of researching a hidden control mechanism through background knowledge and mass consciousness stereotypes is determined by the fact that modern global information and communication networks transform and destabilize the sociocultural semantic space in its historically developed order.
The methodology of analyzing control of mass consciousness stereotypes is based on integration of sociocultural, semiotic, communicative aspects of studying properties of cultural code in the mass media theory. It is emphasized that code control of an individual’s mentality dynamics is exercised anonymously. Knowledge of the reality where implicit instructions for an immediate perception of the world play a special role naturally forms stereotyped practices of understanding and action that are not reflected in everyday life.
Codes set a certain limit of perception of events and their evaluation, catalyze a predicted stereotyped reaction. Cultural codes based on sign-oriented symbols form a semantic matrix that communicates basic orientation in the physical and sociocultural space to an individual’s subconsciousness.
This invisible framework, determinated by a sign-oriented form, ensures transmission of a socially significant meaning that is necessary for mutual understanding of people, social control of their actions and thinking. The tendency to dominate functional and adaptive rationality in the media environment is accompanied by a transformation of the world perception stereotype, erosion of semantic boundaries between the real and the virtual, the subjective and the objective.2017-01-01T00:00:00ZBanks’ risk taking behavior and the optimization monetary policyTriandhari, RisnaSafuan, SugiharsoSyamsudin, M.Alamsyah, Halimhttps://www.um.edu.mt/library/oar/handle/123456789/342482018-10-03T01:46:40Z2017-01-01T00:00:00ZTitle: Banks’ risk taking behavior and the optimization monetary policy

Abstract: This study analyzes the behavior of risk taking on economic agents such as banks, households, and firms as a repond of monetary policy and macroprudential choices in Indonesia. The behavior of economic agents modeled in a DSGE models.
In the model, the credit risk is modeled endogenously. Credit risk is a function of household and firm leverage ratio, bank leverage ratio, property market and general economy condition. Moreover, there are two types of bank in assessing the risks of credit.
The results show that, endogenous credit risk, has an impact on the deepen procyclicality in credit. Furthermore, this research model contributes to a deeper understanding of the prudential policy framework. In the event of risk taking, analysis optimal policy responses using the loss function of central banks.
The policy of lower interest rates should be combined with a loan to value ratio policy and increase CAR to generate the smallest losses2017-01-01T00:00:00ZASEAN-China free trade area : an assessment of tariff elimination effect on welfareSafuan, Sugiharsohttps://www.um.edu.mt/library/oar/handle/123456789/341562018-09-29T01:40:13Z2017-01-01T00:00:00ZTitle: ASEAN-China free trade area : an assessment of tariff elimination effect on welfare

Abstract: This study aimed to assess the economic impact of the the establishment of the ACFTA policy by simulating trade barrier removal. In performing this analysis, we evaluated the effects of trade of member of commodities in EHP, NT, and HSL categories separately. We apply the data using a general equilibrium model (GTAP).
Results showed that the elimination of tariff and non-tariff trade barriers to product groups within NT and HSL categories had a positive impact on trade volume, economic growth, and welfare.
In general, the ACTFA is likely to have a beneficial impact on welfare in participating countries. Singapore and China had the highest welfare increase relative to other members of ASEAN.2017-01-01T00:00:00ZDevelopment of knowledge management model in establishing innovation and company performance in UMKM/SME in IndonesiaUtami, Christina WhidyaFerdiansah, Mochammadhttps://www.um.edu.mt/library/oar/handle/123456789/333062018-09-04T01:44:34Z2017-01-01T00:00:00ZTitle: Development of knowledge management model in establishing innovation and company performance in UMKM/SME in Indonesia
Authors: Utami, Christina Whidya; Ferdiansah, Mochammad
Abstract: Knowledge management is defined as formalization and access to experience, knowledge and expertise that creates new skills that enables prime performance, as well as stimulate innovation and increases the value of SMEs.
The sample data used in this study are thirty SMEs in Surabaya that are part of HIPMI (Association of Young Entrepreneurs in Indonesia), with turnover of not more than IDR fifty billion per year. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling.
The hypothesis testing used is done using Structural Equation Modelling-- PLS (Partial Least Square) and the methodology used is causal research analysis which resulted in the finding that knowledge management affects innovation, knowledge management affects company performance and that innovation affects company performance for UKM4 in Surabaya.2017-01-01T00:00:00Z
