Authors: Bernadus, Denny; Whidya Utami, Christina; Liliana
Abstract: There are many family business in Indonesia that cannot survive after the third generation. One of the factors affecting the inability to survive after the third generation can be attributed to process of succession.
Ther are several stages involved in the arrangement of a successor. The successor induction, followed by the phasing out of the predecessors’ role, until the successor is ready to take a full leadership are factors which play an important role and they are also part of other important elements of ownership behavior. Ownership behavior is a factor to balance the privileges of ownership, such as wealth, power, joy, source of motivation, related to the task and ownership risks, including proper concern for the corporate wellbeing and accountability for corporate success.
This study explores the factors regarding ownership behavior, which is professionalism, active governance, owner as a resource and basic duty. The sample of this research is 49 respondents of family business owners.
The research uses factor analysis to prove that all indicators developed professionalism, active governance, owners as resources and basic duties, which at the end, proves that professionalism, active governance, owners as the resources and basic duties significantly develop the ownership behavior family business factor in Indonesia producing four new factors, namely professional governance, main duties, owner responsibility and professional activities.

Authors: Hanfan, Ahmad; Setiawan, Ahmad Ikhwan
Abstract: This research aims to examine the role of regiocentric product advantage to improve SMEs marketing performance.
The concept of regiocentric product advantage is proposed in this study as a variable that plays an important role in improving marketing performance. The research is also conducted because of the business phenomenon that is the decrease in the number of entrepreneurs and the number of workers in salted egg industry Brebes District, Central Java Province, Indonesia.
The study has developed four hypotheses using data collected from 118 respondents of salted egg SMEs companies.
The statistical analysis processed with AMOS 22 concludes that the research hypotheses are accepted. That is the product development capability with regiocentric product advantage, the regiocentric product image capability with regiocentric product advantage, the customer sensing quality with regiocentric product advantage and the regiocentric product advantage with marketing performance are correlated.

Authors: Rupeika-Apoga, Ramona; Zaidi, S. H.; Thalassinos, Y. E.; Thalassinos, E. I.
Abstract: The banking industry is facing huge challenges due to technology-enabled innovation, to changes in customer preferences, to bank de-risking and to new regulatory initiatives. To go through all these changes, banks need to be stable.
The present study contributes to the empirical literature by identifying the determinants of stability of banks in the Latvian Banking Industry. This study covers both bank-specific (endogenous) factors and macroeconomic (exogenous) factors that impact the stability of banks. The data set used in this study is the annual financial statements of Latvian banks operated in the period 2003-2016.
Using multivariate regression analysis techniques, we found evidence that credit risk and efficiency ratio have a significant negative impact on banks’ stability, whereas size of the bank, liquidity ratio, profitability, inflation and GDP growth have significant positive impact on bank’s stability. We made comparison of bank-specific variables performance for Nordic-owned and non-Nordic-owned banks.
Credit and liquidity risks, as well as efficiency ratio for Nordic-owned banks during the research period were higher, whereas size of the banks and profitability were better. Comparing measurement results of stability of banks, we received that Nordic-owned banks performance between 2003 to 2016 was better than non-Nordic-owned banks performance.

Authors: Gashi, B.; Asllani, Gani; Boqolli, L.
Abstract: The main goal of this paper is to analyse the effect of the tax structure in the economic growth of Kosovo in the period 2007-2015. The study intends to evaluate the impact of specific types of taxes on economic growth.
The methodology is based on comparative analysis of data using primary and secondary sources. Through the econometric model and linear regression analysis, the research hypotheses have been tested with STATA application/software to calculate the impact of tax structure in economic growth.
The econometric model includes several independent variables (types of taxes), and the dependent variable GDP. Based on data obtained through the log-log model, the results show the impact of special taxes such as Pt, It, VAT, Wt, Ibt, Tdr.., Ct on GDP.
The results show that most of the taxes have a positive impact on GDP growth; it is also shown that not all taxes have the same impact on economic growth.
In the econometric analysis the coefficient of R2=0,999 reflects the high degree of determination with 99.9% forecasting accuracy.
