Abstract: The aim of this study was to outline occupational therapy modalities for R.A. patients. Considering our ultimate goal is to help patients regain the skills to achieve a maximal level of function in life tasks, treatment is initiated only after in-depth evaluation which would include patient's medical history and treatment, upper extremity joint status (including range of motion, joint stability, muscle strength manipulation skills with special emphasis to hand function), precursors to deformities, functional impairment and sensory evaluation.</summary>

Abstract: When at first I was asked by an OT friend of mine to write an article, introducing myself to the readers of this journal, I admit I was a bit reluctant. The reason for this was that I didn't feel anyone would be much interested in getting to know the person behind the production of this journal. On the contrary, this OT friend of mine was sure that the readers would enjoy getting to know me better, for reasons I will explain later. In the end, she had me so flattered I simply couldn't say no, so here it is! I only hope that after reading this article, you will all like me a little bit more!</summary>

Abstract: A number of countries, which only have a small number of Occupational Therapists, or in which an OT service is non-existent, are becoming more aware of the need to either expand or introduce the profession. With this objective in mind, the Ministry of Social Affairs in Tunisia recently organised an OT Awareness and Promotion Week between 7 - 12 November 1994.</summary>
