Title: Filfla : a unique islet Abstract: The Maltese archipelago consists of six islands, namely Malta, Gozo, Camino, Cominetto, St Paul's Island and Filfla, each island rich with its inherent beauty. The islet of Filfla lies to the south of Malta, about five kilometres away from the mainland (Wied iz-iurrieq), with its nearest point at Lapsi (Siggiewi). It is the smallest of the whole archipelago, with an area of about 2.5 hectares, nearly 800 m in circumference. The top part is a sort of plateau, ending in 60-metre high cliffs all round. [excerpt]

Title: The National Archives : Gozo section Abstract: On Friday, 24 November 1989, the Hon Dr Ugo Mifsud Bonnici, Minister of Education and Culture, and the Hon Anton Tabone, Minister for Gozo, officially inaugurated the Gozo Section of the National Archives. It is housed next to the Gozo Public Library in Vajringa Street, Rabat. The archives was put in order by the Rev Dr Joseph Bezzina, who specialised in archivistics in London and in Rome. Dr Bezzina, who is also keeper of the records, shortly describes its contents.
