Title: Qassis tal-Belt : programs 1-17
Abstract: Ġorġ Peresso’s latest novel Il-Qassis tal-Belt (The City Priest) tells the story of a young priest from Valletta who is sent to help an old, yet open-minded priest in a remote chapel in Iklin. Together with Celaine Buhagiar, Gorg adapts his book to a radio play.
Description: A radio adaptation of the novel Il-Qassis tal-Belt by Gorg Peresso. The novel focuses on a particular time in the history of Malta: the first 50 years of British rule, characterised by Italian refugees, mostly anti-clerical, and the first elections for the National Council under Governor O’Ferrall. Produced and presented by Celaine Buhagiar and Gorg Peresso.
