The spark was then provided by the Assistance Scheme for projects by NGOs contributing towards the implementation of the Eco-Gozo Action Plan promoted by the Ministry for Gozo late in 2010. Our wish is that these glances at our island will offer an interesting read for all – and actually whet the appetite for more information. Two-page spreads give illustrated facts about the Gozitan vilages including the three legally-recognized hamlets, Marsalforn, Santa Lucija and Xlendi and three other locations which do so merit, Comino, Mgarr and Ta’ Pinu to reach a total of twenty. Furthermore this publication includes a poem dedicated to Gozo, Gozitan historical highlights, a list of feasts in Gozo, Gozo personalities on stamps and postmarks, GPS cards/philatelic issues and a description of the Gozo Philatelic Society including its foundation and function within the community 2011-11-01T00:00:00Z
