    <title>Spectral analysis of musical sounds</title>
    <link>https://www.um.edu.mt/library/oar/handle/123456789/123328</link>
    <description>Title: Spectral analysis of musical sounds
Abstract: Digital sampling and analysis have been making up a very &#xD;
important part in music production technology, as the quality &#xD;
produced is extremely better than that from analog apparatus &#xD;
that has always been used. This project explains the principles &#xD;
of sampling, the hardware and software used in analysing and &#xD;
modifying an incoming musical sound.

Abstract: This project describes a cross-assembler program &#xD;
written for a 68000 microprocessor based &#xD;
development system. The program is written in 6502 &#xD;
assembly language and runs on the BBC &#xD;
mlcrocomputer. A complele program listing, a short&#xD;
"user's guide" and suggestions for upgrading the &#xD;
program are also included.

    <description>Title: Computerised public transport despatcher
Abstract: The project is a proposed method to improve public transport &#xD;
efficiency by computerisation of the despatching process. A large &#xD;
electronic board displays a despatch timetable to despatchers, &#xD;
bus drivers, passengers and other commuters at the bus termini. A &#xD;
24 hour clock is displayed together with the 7 bus numbers having &#xD;
the most imminent departure times. Each bus number displayed is &#xD;
supplemented with its corresponding destination and departure &#xD;
time. The required departure of a bus is signalled by flashing&#xD;
text. The display is updated every minute by upwdard scrolling of &#xD;
the text.

    <title>A study of stability and control of an air-suspended vehicle</title>
    <link>https://www.um.edu.mt/library/oar/handle/123456789/122931</link>
    <description>Title: A study of stability and control of an air-suspended vehicle
Abstract: This thesis presents a comprehensive treatment of the design, analysis and &#xD;
implementation of an air-suspended system. &#xD;
A particular type of an air-suspended system was chosen, such that it can &#xD;
float stationary in mid air, that is similar to a helicopter. The main problem &#xD;
encountered in operating such a system is that of balance. Thus, it was &#xD;
decided to concentrate all efforts in investigating the problems associated &#xD;
with instability. &#xD;
This thesis shows the principles of active balance and dynamic equilibrimn. &#xD;
The purpose of this research is to offer an alternative method of how stability &#xD;
can be obtained. The principles used can also be applied to control the &#xD;
position and motion of the object suspended in air.
