      <title>Sustainable business models in non-financial reporting in Polish practice</title>

Abstract: PURPOSE: The aim of the article is to identify information about the sustainable model of&#xD;
companies listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange WIG 30, which prepare non-financial&#xD;
reports.; DESIGN/METHODOLOGY/APPROACH: The content analysis of sustainable model disclosures in&#xD;
non-financial reporting was performed. The quality of disclosures was assessed based on&#xD;
reports published by 30 major and most liquid companies of the WIG 30 index of the Warsaw&#xD;
Stock Exchange (GPW). The content analysis of non-financial reports was conducted&#xD;
according to the following areas: value proposition, social aspects, environmental aspects,&#xD;
and governance aspects. The article uses the results of literature studies on the subject, the&#xD;
results of previous research, and observations of business practice in the area of sustainable&#xD;
business models disclosures in non-financial reporting.; FINDINGS: The findings reveal a diverse approach of companies to disclose the information&#xD;
on sustainability of business model in Polish practice.; PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS: The results of the study complement the research gap of current&#xD;
literature on sustainable business models by presenting the practice of disclosure on&#xD;
sustainable business model in Polish companies.; ORIGINALITY/VALUE: The research presented in the article contributes to the current literature&#xD;
on sustainable business models disclosure by using the novel dataset, identifying the scope of&#xD;
disclosure on sustainability of business models, and is aimed at presenting a critical&#xD;
interpretative perspective.</description>

      <title>Level of fulfilment of expectations towards work and employer of Generation Z employees</title>

Abstract: PURPOSE: The main objective of the research was to identify, analyse and diagnose the level&#xD;
of fulfilment of expectations towards work/service and employer of Generation Z employees,&#xD;
as well as the key factors influencing it.; DESIGN/METHODOLOGY/APPROACH: In order to verify the hypotheses posed, the literature&#xD;
analysis and critique method, the diagnostic survey method and statistical methods were&#xD;
used. The study was conducted on the basis of a survey questionnaire, with a randomly&#xD;
selected research sample of 2234 Generation Z people. Column proportions tests were used&#xD;
to determine significant differences in responses between individuals with different&#xD;
education, place of residence and experience in candidate military service. Relationships&#xD;
between variables were tested using Pearson's linear correlation coefficient and also based&#xD;
on the coefficient of the multiple regression model.; FINDINGS: The level of fulfilment of expectations towards work/service and employer of&#xD;
Generation Z people is not high and is shaped by many factors. It has been found that the&#xD;
higher the sense of fulfilment of expectations towards work/service and employer of&#xD;
Generation Z people, the higher their motivation to work, willingness to comply with rules,&#xD;
additional medical care, additional group insurance, higher commitment to work, higher&#xD;
acceptance of the service hierarchy, greater gender equality in the organisation and their&#xD;
higher level of coping with uncertainty/unpredictability.; PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS: The practical business implications are mainly concerned with the&#xD;
possibility for managers to use the findings in the process of managing Generation Z&#xD;
employees.; ORIGINALITY/VALUE: Education and experience in candidate military service were found to&#xD;
significantly differentiate the fulfilment of job/service and employer expectations among&#xD;
Generation Z.</description>

      <title>Digitizing public institutions on the example of the National Water and Electricity Company (NAWEC) of Gambia</title>

Abstract: PURPOSE: The study seeks to examine the barriers and drivers of digitization in a typical&#xD;
public organization, with promising potentials to improve service performance in Gambian&#xD;
public sector notably utilities.; DESIGN/METHODOLOGY/APPROACH: Qualitative research method is used to analyze the case&#xD;
relying both on primary and secondary source of data. A literature review was conducted to&#xD;
understand factors that influence digitization in public institution. Due to its scientific&#xD;
relevance, the secondary sources used mainly came from scientific journals. Staff of the&#xD;
institution were also engaged in retrieving firsthand data as to key drivers and barriers of&#xD;
digitalization in NAWEC.; FINDINGS: The findings show that National Water and Electricity Company is constraint with&#xD;
numerous challenges in its digitalization ques. The challenges are handful, but the following&#xD;
stand out, inadequate finance, inadequate skills(digital) personnel, and lack of modern&#xD;
digital tools and equipment. Key to the drivers found include management such as the&#xD;
decision-making structure of the organization, technology, and digitalization interest of&#xD;
customers.; PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS: To support digitization, NAWEC must quickly adopt new processes,&#xD;
adopt agile and operational methods, and new organizational structures. In a nutshell,&#xD;
digitization in the public sector has emerged to rethink existing processes and services and&#xD;
create better user experiences for citizens and businesses, which are at the heart of these&#xD;
efforts.; ORIGINALITY/VALUE: To support digitization, NAWEC must quickly adopt new processes,&#xD;
adopt agile and operational methods, and new organizational structures. In a nutshell,&#xD;
digitization in the public sector has emerged to rethink existing processes and services and&#xD;
create better user experiences for citizens and businesses, which are at the heart of these&#xD;
efforts.</description>

world scientific and practical literature in the construction industry and case studies among&#xD;
business practitioners among construction companies in Poland.; FINDINGS: The determinants of management effectiveness determined during the analysis&#xD;
through the appropriate use of IT systems in construction companies will allow the&#xD;
development of practical recommendations for optimal management in companies.; PRACTICAL IMPLICATIONS: The practical implications of the research results included in the&#xD;
article will constitute recommendations for activities in the management of construction&#xD;
companies that can be used in business practice, which will translate into higher financial&#xD;
results.; ORIGINALITY/VALUE: The original value of the article is the analysis of factors that increase&#xD;
management efficiency among construction companies in Poland.</description>
