Title: The impact of population ageing and social stratification : the case of Latvia
Authors: Rupeika-Apoga, Ramona; Romānova, Inna; Bule, Larisa; Thalassinos, Y. E.
Abstract: Population ageing and social stratification is widely assumed to have detrimental effects on the economy yet there is little empirical evidence about the magnitude of its effects. The aim of this article is to investigate the relationships between population ageing and social stratification and the state of economy of a small and post-transition economy. We are looking for these relationships and their strength of influence; at what time after shocking these variables reach their original levels. We apply standard Granger (non-) causality tests, VAR (Vector Auto-Regressive), IRF (Impulse Response Function) and the prediction error variance analysis by using quarterly data from 2000 to 2018. Research results show that the changes in the level of GDP per capita and the number of pensions paid imply changes in the number of retired persons. The research results have important contribute to policy debates about the impact of population ageing and social stratification on the state of economy in small and post-transition economy.

Unification and convergence of hierarchic structures such as organizational separations and product projects at creation of recommending decision support systems

Title: Unification and convergence of hierarchic structures such as organizational separations and product projects at creation of recommending decision support systems
Authors: Dmitriev, Oleg N.; Novikov, Sergey V.
Abstract: Studied the problem of integrated self-management of multilevel hierarchic groups and quasi-groups under modern economic conditions, based on intellectual recommending Decision Support Systems (DSS). Split-level stereotypical linear organizational structures and project organizational quasi-structures involved in implementation of separated product projects and project groups have been conceptually unified. Proved that this unification in question engenders, for each management level, a coordinating inter-project managing system that is toponymical identical to the managing system of this level. Demonstrated that relevant management is organically whole and can be viewed as self-management of a general corporate structure. Discovered that hierarchic economical management can be in principle reduced to a finite sequence of bilevel economical managements of general corporate structures, where the order of hierarchy levels descends from the top level to the bottom one. Presented a schematic description of the basic procedural modes of operation of the respective recommending DSS.

Title: The effect of transformational leadership and organizational culture towards employees’ innovative behaviour and performance
Authors: Rizki, Mochamad; Parashakti, Ryani Dhyan; Saragih, Lisnatiawati
Abstract: This study aims to analyse the effect of Transformational Leadership and Organizational Culture towards Innovative Behaviour and Employee Performance in PT Bank Danamon Indonesia. Data was collected from a sample of 100 employees of PT Bank Danamon Indonesia. We analysed the questionnaire result using structural equation modelling (SEM). The conclusions are that transformational leadership has a significant effect on organization culture; transformational leadership does not influence innovation behaviour. However, a company’s culture is significantly affected by innovation behaviour and innovation behaviour also has a significant effect on employee performance in PT Bank Danamon Indonesia. Transformational leadership is concerned with shared interests among employees by explaining the importance of the company's goals so that employees are willing to put aside their personal interests and work for the common good.

Variables affecting the book value of manufacturing companies : the case of Indonesia

Title: Variables affecting the book value of manufacturing companies : the case of Indonesia
Authors: Hidayat, Widi; Rizki, Amalia; Riska Nur, R.; Ratnawati, Tri; T. Evan, Tandiyono
Abstract: The research objective is to examine variables that can be used as crucial determinannts for the book value of manufacturing companies in Indonesia. The distinguishing variables are investment decisions, size of company, risk management issues, profitability and cash flow. The research design uses quantitative descriptive methodology with a sample of 25 manufacturing companies listed in the Indonesian Stock Exchange, for 4 consecutive years so that the number of units of analysis becomes 100 for the time series cross-sectional method used (pulling data). The analysis technique uses discriminant statistics that are processed with SPSS. The cash flow variable has a value of Wilks 'Lambda of 0.446 and a significance level of 0.000 which means that the cash flow variable tends to have different effect in different groups of companies.
