      <title>El amor frustrado, la desilusión y la muerte en las ‘Rimas’ de Bécquer en contraste con el romanticismo español</title>

      <description>Title: El amor frustrado, la desilusión y la muerte en las ‘Rimas’ de Bécquer en contraste con el romanticismo español
Abstract: This investigation, in general, seeks to analyze the question whether it is true that literature evolves and modifies with time. More accurately, it studies the language used in the creations of the Romantic period, in opposition to the language used by Gustavo Adolfo Bécquer, a post-Romantic poet, in his Rimas. However, in this investigation three themes were considered to be the most commonly applied by such authors, and these arguments were: frustrated love, disillusion and death, topics used as a reaction against the objective and&#xD;
emotion-lacking literature of the Neoclassicism. Very briefly, love is the main focus of both Romanticism and Post-romanticism, yet, being so seemingly impossible for two lovers, due to problems like difference of social class, it is hard for them to develop a serene affinity. This produces awareness of their disillusion and, at a later stage, these lovers evolve a growing aspiration towards death, perceived as the only resting solution. This, which is very common amongst the Romantics and Bécquer, is what will be studied in this investigation, presenting certain differences.

      <title>'El Buscón’ de Quevedo : ¿una novela picaresca?</title>
      <link>https://www.um.edu.mt/library/oar/handle/123456789/92350</link>
      <description>Title: 'El Buscón’ de Quevedo : ¿una novela picaresca?
Abstract: The main objective of this thesis is to determine whether 'El Buscón' (Francisco de Quevedo), is, in reality, a picaresque novel like its two predecessors, Lazarillo de Tormes (anonymous) and Guzmán de Alfarache (Mateo Alemán). In order to do this, the main characteristics of this genre will be listed out, after which the three books listed above will be analyzed; then in the last chapter they will be compared all together. By carrying out this process, it was concluded that 'El Buscón', although having some different points from the other books, is in fact a wholly picareque novel, and is to be treated as such.

      <link>https://www.um.edu.mt/library/oar/handle/123456789/92346</link>
      <description>Title: Personajes femeninos en el siglo de oro : de la alcahueta a la pícara
Abstract: In the Golden Age period, women as protagonists in literature, left a huge impact on the development of Spanish Literature. This is due to the fact that during this period, woman is evolving starting from the stage of a matchmaker until it reaches the stage of a rascally knave. Throughout this investigation, four protagonists will be closely analyzed, Trotaconventos, Celestina, Lozana Andaluza and Justina. Analyzing these four, enables us to observe closely this evolution. Ultimately, this evolution has to be linked with the genres these protagonists belong to, in order to bring out the relation that exists.
