Through out the years, women's participation in the Malta labour market has increased. The implementation of various family friendly measures might have helped induce women into employment since these enable them to balance their time between family and work. Flexi-time is one such measure. Flex-time is a 'modern' system of working hours which does not only help employees in balancing their time between work and family but could make any worker feel that he/she is giving their full potential and yet being independent. Through a questionnaire, this long essay delves into finding out Maltese civil servants' understanding of the concept 'flexi-time' and asks whether they would avail themselves of this policy if it were implemented in the Public Service. Findings suggest that if this measure was introduced, it will be well received within the Public Service employees.en_GB
