Abstract: | Karl Marx advocated the withering away of the capitalist state to be substituted by a communist state. However, what we are witnessing in Malta is a totally different phenomenon: the gradual withering away of the Opposition. This should worry us all. As more time passes, the Opposition not only does not gain ground amongst popular support over its competitor but is moving in the direction of obsolescence. |
