Abstract: Rev. Dr. Charles Tabone, together with presenter Dr Mario Thomas Vassallo, explore the issues raised in the 1999 film The Green Mile, mostly those of capital punishment and the justice system. The Green Mile tells how the lives of guards on Death Row are affected by one of their charges: a black man accused of child murder and rape, yet who has a mysterious gift.
Description: A series of programs during which Dr Mario Thomas Vassallo together with his guests, discusses a number of film productions and the connections with political themes, eg. Freedom, social class, social conflict, economy, bioethics and imperialism. Produced together with the Department of Public Policy of the University of Malta.
