| Abstract: | This chapter includes an archaeological analysis of the Phoenician settlements in Malta. Even though not conclusive, this chapter aims to be as complete as possible. The complex data, accumulated over many decades, of archaeological research in Malta compared with data collected from other colonized regions enables the setting of concrete information of the first Phoenician settlements which lead to a series of considerations that can currently be considered valid for the purpose of research development on first colonial phase. |
