dc.description.abstractA brief history about heart disease is presented in the introductory part of this paper. The main objective is to discuss the classification of injuries to the heart, providing a description regarding the nature of injuries and the relative treatments as required. The legal aspects of trauma to the heart are also addressed, with particular emphasis given on the need to establish a diagnosis.
