| Abstract: | Manoel Theatre and the Laboratorju tal-Paċi present the programme for the musical "Jonathan", written by Patri Dijonisju Mintoff with music composed by Mro. Carmelo Abela, directed by Helen Degabriele, and featuring narrators Grace Axiak, John Gatt, Marthese Sammut, and Emanuel Scicluna. The musical featured music performed by the Young People's Orchestra and the Choir of Laboratorju tal-Paċi. The performance also starred soloists Samuel Bezzina, Mario Gauci and Josephine Vassallo. The performance was held at the end of the International Year of the Youth, and at the beginning of the Year of Peace. The performance was held on the 11th of December, 1985, at the Manoel Theatre Foyer (Sala Isouard), in Valletta. |
