dc.description.abstract7 species of Orthoptera whose status in the Maltese Islands is rare or infrequent are discussed. Of these, 2 species namely, Platycleis albopunctata (Tettigoniidae) and Sphingonotus savignyi (Acrididae), are recorded for the first time.
