| Abstract: | Malta's attempts to achieve economic independence have brought it nearer to its Arab neighbours. Its main ties remain with Europe but it is making every effort to identify itself with its North African neighbours, and through them to strengthen its links with the rest of the Middle East. Therefore this article discusses the economic and trade development of Malta and its relations with Middle Eastern countries. |
