Abstract: The Copper Age marked a radical change in Southern Italy. The change, moreover, was not confined to this area only, but can be recognized in the cultural evolution in all the lands bordering the Mediterranean. Indeed, the advent of the Copper Age represented one of the biggest social revolutions in the ancient world, and possibly an ethnica one as well.
