Abstract: Environmental education is a very important dimension in the early years of child development. Although, a lot is being done to increase awareness of environmental issues among students, little is done to design environmental educational programmes for early years children. Although Xrobb l-Għaġin Nature Park and Sustainable Development Centre are accessible to everyone, there is no environmental educational programme designed for young children. This study involves the production of a resource pack of Environmental Educational activities specifically targeting young children. The educational pack includes three themes: Mini-Friends, The Green Treasures and The Three Jewels; focusing on small animals, plants and natural resources respectively. With the use of this resource pack children will have the opportunity to: observe, play games, do crafts, participate in story telling amongst other activities aimed at providing learners with first-hand environmental experiences. The resource pack was reviewed (through a feedback questionnaire) by 13 experienced Kindergarten Assistants and Early Years teachers.
