It sheds light on various aspects of the new science curriculum with regards to content, level of difficulty, how it can be applied to everyday life and methodology of teaching. Data was collected using questionnaires for students and interviews with teachers. Through the use of quantitative and qualitative methods of research, the triangulation technique was implemented by comparing results. The main outcome of this research was that on the whole the said curriculum was welcomed by both teachers and students in that it is set at the right level of difficulty for students and it allows for many different teaching and learning methods. Through this study, students were asked various questions which were analysed and any differences in gender were pointed out. Finally, a discussion of the results obtained is developed, and suggestions for improvements are made.
