dc.description.abstractDespite the vast knowledge and documentation one can find on the uniqueness of the city of Valletta, it is more difficult to trace the development of the earlier stages of the city. This article looks at the early stages of infrastructure of the city of Valletta focusing on Laparelli's ideas and plans. Some of which include the 'collachio', certain main streets, St. John's Co-cathedral and the 'manderaggio'.en_GB
