Abstract: The article reviews current professional development (PD) models and proposes an alternative PD model, based on a differentiated perspective. The differentiated PD model provides a choice for teachers at different levels of professional growth with a variety of interests. It also enables teachers to engage in reflection and meaningful dialogue with colleagues— contributing to a new sense of teacher empowerment.
