The pattern of Tarxien Cemetery occupation of the site forms an interesting contrast to that of Tarxien. The densest occupation was in a cave collapse depression at the north of the interior of the Circle, but there was also a similar dense occupation in the eastern area of the site. Other areas of occupation were less dense, but no less significant. These included the area around the Tarxien megalithic threshold, the area around the lip of the East Cave collapse and some of the internal fills, and finally significant points on the western edge of the caves.en_GB
