Wireless technology is one of today's most lucrative innovations. The mobile phone has evolved from a large simple device used solely for voice communication into a miniature computer. People are constantly on the go and require total mobility. With the technology available today it is possible to buy anything over your mobile device. Groceries can be selected, ordered and delivered to your door while you are on your way home. No longer is it required to withdraw money from an ATM to purchase fuel for your car. You will not require coins anymore to purchase a soft drink from a vending machine. Payments can be made without waiting behind a queue at the bank. All this power can be controlled from the palm of your hand. The project aims to create a framework that will allow easy implementation of mobile transactions into existing or new systems, whether the system is an attended point of sale (POS), an automated system or an online shopping cart.en_GB
