The liturgy of the hours : a theological perspective

Abstract

This dissertation discusses the Liturgy of the Hours as a prayer of all the Church. It presents a historical overview of the development of the Liturgy of the Hours whilst explaining the significance of this prayer in the life of the community of the faithful. This study also suggests practical aspects which should be acknowledged and implemented if the Liturgy of the Hours is offered as a prayer of the faithful in parish churches or in other church communities.
