dc.description.abstractThis is a speech delivered by Dr. G. Curmi, the president of "Ghaqda ta l-awturi Maltin". The speech was made for the second literary meeting on 14th January 1953. Dr Curmi speaks about public literary 'apathy' , blaming the writers for this lack of interest. According to the author nowadays there are no longer great writers such as Homer, Shakespeare, etcen_GB
