dc.description.abstractAntonio Farrugia here studies six poems by the great poets Dun Karm Psaila (the Maltese national poet) and Spanish poet José María Pemán. Although these poems differ in thought, structure and words, Farrugia finds similarities in them. The author here says that these two Catholic poets have a love for Jesus, the Eucharist and the image of Christ crucified. The poems referred to here are "Il-Vjatku", "Quddiem kurcifiss" and "Innu Ewkaristiku" by Dun Karm and "El Vlatico", "Ante el Cristo de la Buena Muerte" and "Himno official del XXXV congreso Eucaristico" by Jose Maria Pemanen_GB
