dc.description.abstractThis is a speech delivered by Dun Karm Psaila in 1942 addressing Zebbug school headmasters. Dun Karm here speaks about Maltese literature and the origin of the Maltese poetry. He says that the book Ktieb il-qari Malti or Dahla ghall-ilsien Malti was most probably the oldest Maltese poetry book that was published. Here Dun Karm refers to some verses form this book. He also speaks about his own poems and how he begin writing in Malteseen_GB
