Issue Date: 2016
Abstract: Following a thorough review of literature on the subject, the results of qualitative research (surveys) are presented with an analysis thereof. The results indicate that, so far, drones appear to have only a slight impact on nearly half of tourists’ choice of destination. For the purpose of this study, Maltese-based business and tourism stakeholders were asked whether they are willing to invest in the production of drone footage as a means of promoting their product and the Maltese Islands. Furthermore, questionnaires were distributed randomly to the general public.
