| Abstract: | According to Borg, Anton Tabone represents a key figure in the Nationalist Party as well as in Malta's history as a whole. Tabone, being a Gozitan, helped place the interests of the Gozitans on the table when he became the first Minister for Gozo. He eventually went on to serve as Speaker of the House of Representatives between 1998 and 2008. |
