Abstract: This is an autobiographical piece written about the life of (now retired) Gozitan artist George Apap, published as part of the newspaper’s ‘Gozo Supplement’. Featuring 7 pieces of his artwork, the artist describes his life as a young child growing up in Gozitan landscape – from family to early academic background. He recognizes the key characters that would go onto influence his artistic journey, from his father, to an uncle/art teacher, to other leading figures within the industry itself. Apap also discusses his stylistic preferences, mediums, and overall achievements over the years.
