Abstract: The purpose of this dissertation is to collect and organize the local newspapers' articles that were published in the last decade (2000 - 2010) regarding Dun Ġorġ Preca. Dun Ġorġ Preca (1880 - 1962) is referred to as an outstanding Maltese priest living in the twentieth century and his greatest merit lies in promoting good education to all people especially in the religious field. To achieve his goal, he founded the Society of Christian Doctrine in Malta and he gave her a specific mission, that is, to spread the Gospel around the world. After his death, he was immediately regarded as a saintly priest and in 1975 the cause for sanctification started and this led to a number of articles written in local newspaper about his life and mission. In the twenty-first century, Dun Ġorġ was beatified in 2001 and also declared by the Catholic Church as a saint in 2007. These special events in the Maltese history, led to an increase of articles written in local newspapers about him. The study involves the collection and organization of these articles including the documentation of all the articles, a review of what the article is about and a database to facilitate access to them according to the topic, author date and newspaper.
