Abstract: In this article, Grazio Muscat remembers his childhood during World War II. His family was living in Senglea where his father worked as a Dockyard worker, but because of the bombing, they decided to move to Mdina together with other families. He explains the living conditions in the shelters and describes the everyday life of the refugees in Mdina from his childhood memories.
