dc.description.abstractFrancesco Bonnici was born in Cospicua on July the 14th in 1852 to parents Dr. Giuseppe Bonnici M.D. and Marija Teresa Ferris. He was baptised in the Collegiate Church of the Immaculate Conception in Cospicua. He went on to become a monsignor, a professor and rector at the Seminary. He founded the Casa di San Giuseppe in Hamrun in aid to abandoned young boys. At the age of 53, Bonnici died in his mother’s home in Hamrun in 1905 and was buried in the Cathedral in Imdina.en_GB
