Abstract: Mercieca Hounsell states that Malta is a Carmelite-devoted country due to the fact that there aren’t any villages or cities that do not have a street named after Our Lady of Mount Carmel. The love of the Maltese towards her has passed from generation to generation and, as a result, there are numerous paintings devoted to her around several parishes in Malta.
