| Abstract: | There is a growing consensus that the literary relationship of Luke to the other gospels is more complicated than previously thought. This was clearly evidenced by the Trinity College Colloquy of 1977 which first brought into focus the discontent that exists with the so-called two document, and Griesbach hypotheses. Now, a decade later, there is widespread unease among New Testament scholars with the accepted theories explaining the literary relation- ship of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. |
