Abstract: This research aims to delve deeper into two different villages celebrating the same feast, and what impacts they are experiencing in relation to the tourists who visit their localities during the period of the local feast. Current research indicates that Mosta attracts more tourists due to its geographical position on the island of Malta, and because of the popularity enjoyed among tourists of a renowned parish church. Surveys among tourists visiting the feasts in both localities and interviews with stakeholders were conducted to understand more what product is being promoted and targeted for tourists. Findings suggest that although the feast in Mosta gathers a large crowd of tourists, the feast in Mqabba is well-promoted as well, and promotion is being given considerable importance so as to see the visitors increasing year after year. Participants, stakeholders in particular, agree that the Mosta feast has a more complete package to offer, which may be a reason for having more incoming tourism than Mqabba.
