| Abstract: | An imagined email from a tourist visiting Malta in 2030. He describes his impressions of the urban environment impacted by a series of towers, many of them unfinished or empty. The writer also decries the loss of a scenic coastline because of a major land reclamation project. Although imaginary, the writer describes how Malta may turn out to be in 2030. This piece is inspired by a concern that various high-impact decisions are being taken without any consideration for the future of tourism. |
