Traffic management is an ever increasing problematic area that requires several solutions. Intelligent Transport Systems are beneficial in addressing safety and traffic congestion problems. Intelligent Transport Systems can enhance a driver's life on the road by making it safer and more efficient by using modern technologies such as digital maps. Such technologies can create new services and support jobs in the transport sector. The proposed solution will consist of a study of existing applications and systems and finally an improved application will be created. This will help both local and foreign motorists, who are not aware of a reroute possibility, in the case of traffic problems and other road issues. The application will provide each individual user with a planned route according to his/her current location and the intended destination. The application provides several tangible benefits to its users and can optimize journeys.en_GB
