Abstract: This study investigated 13-year old Gozitan female students' attitudes towards the ICT subject. The aims of this study were mainly to identify the various factors and variables which affect and give rise to such attitudes and to establish whether there is any relationship between these variables. The sample consisted of Form Three students attending Gozo girls' state secondary school. Findings gained through survey questionnaires and interviews, were interpreted according to the hypotheses set and which were compiled as a result of a critical analysis of existing literature. The analysis gave an indication of students' attitudes towards ICT as a subject. Among the factors and elements considered within each hypothesis in this research, some of the more significant determinants for a positive attitude included the relevance of the subject to real life practices, teachers' influences, as well the cross-application of ICT across all subject areas. Furthermore this study has underpinned various essential educational implications and considerations in relation to ICT subject which can provide better ICT learning within Maltese secondary schools.
