Abstract: During World War II, Maltese living in Tripoli, Libya were sent to Italy and were to remain in concentration camps until further developments. During this time, an ill-fated child named Gaetano Falzon accidentally slipped and fell in a large bowl of soup during an electricity shortage. Attempts to revive him proved unfruitful.
