Abstract: This series of articles sees author Joe M. Zahra provide a detailed narration of events that led to the Maltese independence in 1964. A prominent figure which features throughout the series is Prime Minister Gorg Borg Olivier, who orchestrated the Maltese efforts at attaining the much-sought-after independence from the United Kingdom.
