Abstract: Victor Captur was born in Sliema in 1920 to Louis Captur and Mary nee Bonello. After graduating as a medical doctor he served in World War II and was able to continue his studies abroad after the war. For years Victor Captur served at St Luke's Hospital and several other hospital in England. In 1980 he started lecturing in Medicine at the University of Malta. Dr Captur was a keen collector of Melitensia and a lover of the arts and of music. He also contributed several articles in medical journals and other cultural publications. This book is a tribute to Dr. Catpur with material contributed by his peers who respected him both as a doctor as well as personally.
