Tourism education at the University has been long established and has provided formal academic programmes since 1995. Originating from the former department of Tourism within the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy, The Institute for Tourism, Travel and Culture was established as an autonomous Institute within the University in 2010. Since that time the Institute has successfully developed a broad range of both undergraduate and post graduate academic programmes and has established a strong international research and consultancy portfolio focussing on European and Mediterranean tourism, hospitality, culture and travel research.
