Abstract: | Grudgingly or not, every new Inquisitor assigned to the Maltese Islands had to adapt himself to various requirements dictated by local customs and traditions. Besides having to contend with the fact that he was assigned to Europe's southernmost flank, he was expected to abide by certain rules of custom and tradition, even if given his own personal touch. |
