Abstract: Malta sent a large contingent of 32 Scouters and Scouts to the third World Jamboree at Arrowe Park in Birkenhead, England, in July 1929. The contingent which was lead by Mr. Dominic Gruppetta of Hamrun Group marched from Valletta to the Customs House where it was inspected by the officer administering the Government, Sir Thomas Van Best, and by the Head of the Ministry, Lord Strickland, before embarking in the S.S. Providence for Marseilles.
