dc.description.abstractIn this article Antonia Ciascia tries to provide an indication on Phoenician and Punic culture of Malta by locating the place that the Maltese archipelago occupies within at least some of the vast phenomena that mark the linked geographical area to the presence of the Phoenicians. The considerations provided by the author are not intended as definitive on the topics of which the research process which continues to highlight the many facets. During the last twenty years, for example, the concept of antagonism between Phoenicians and Greeks in Central and western Mediterranean - already considered to be the starting point of each historical reconstruction - has undergone a radical resizing, thanks in part to archaeology.en_GB
