Abstract: On June 3rd a call was made to scouts to join a special company of the King's Own Malta Regiment. Scout headquarters called on "members and ex-members of the Scout movement in Malta and Gozo over the age of 17 years six months who are willing to undertake military service of immediate national importance to report at Island Headquarters, Floriana, on Tuesday, June 4th at 7 p.m. when details of how they can best serve their country as a representative body of the Association will be explained to them' '.
