Abstract: | The purpose of this dissertation was to explore the adolescent phase of life and how faith influences the female gender. For the purpose of this research interviews with professionals were carried to help establish the factors that shape the female adolescents faith. The study has brought to the fore front that whilst adolescence can be a time of physical and emotional turmoil the family and the adolescents’ peers contribute towards shaping faith. Factors that affect the female faith are the relationship with one’s image of self, the thought of the future, relationships and intimacy. |
